April Update - Printing Underway!

The big news, all of the print files and box set components have been approved and manufacturing has begun! If you want to see some behind the scenes of receiving the print proofs and a good look at the final box set design, check out my latest video:

There were some significant changes to the box design, dice bag, and paper selections that took some time to get just right, but everything is looking great. Now we just wait for production to finish before the books and box sets get shipped across the ocean. 

Obviously, there is still time for this to change, but right now, it looks like the shipment will arrive at my doorstep in mid/late July. So shipping to backers will most likely begin in August.

Ok, let's talk TARIFFS. They are constantly changing, and who knows what the world will look like in July, but there is a strong possibility I will have to pay some sort of import tax when the shipment arrives in the US (this is another point of contact where things can get delayed). Because you all have already purchased the books and box sets, I don't think it's fair to force backers to pay an additional fee after the fact. That means I will be absorbing the cost of any tariffs myself. 

Does this cut into the profit I made on this project? 100%. But I feel lucky to have had a successful campaign (thanks to you!) that's allowed for a higher print run and better costs.

The Shadowdark Conversion is looking really good so far! It will be wrapped up and ready for download this summer, before the physical rewards ship out. Stay tuned for more!

Jan / Feb Update - New Digital Rewards!

BIG NEWS! The revised PDF of Dragon Town and the Darkness Below AND all of the digital stretch goals (minus the Shadowdark conversion) have been sent out to all backers! That includes 5 one-shot postcard adventures, printable magic item cards, a printable GM screen, and the Nimble and 5E encounter conversion charts. 

Check for an email from me/Backerkit with links to the files. If you haven't already filled out your Backerkit survey you'll need to do that to get access to the PDF and the extras. If you have any problems accessing the digital download just send me a message on Kickstarter. 

SHADOWDARK. Michael (Night Noon Games) is hard at work on the Shadowdark conversion. The first few chapters are done and it's looking AWESOME. More news on the release in the coming months. In the meantime, check out Michael's upcoming Zine Quest Kickstarter for Creating Monsters for Shadowdark!

IN OTHER NEWS, all of the files have been sent off to the printer. The production department is going over everything to make sure it all looks good, then work on proofs will begin. Once I have a more solid timeline of the process I'll update everyone with an estimated delivery date.

Dragon Town December Update

It's been two months since the Kickstarter ended and lots of progress has been made since then! The PDF of the book was sent out via Backerkit (fill out your survey to download!) and work on stretch goals has continued steadily (just a couple more postcards to draw and layout). 

I just got the dice samples from the manufacturer. The colors aren't quite right yet, but that's why samples are a thing. The coin samples are coming soon and I've been going back and forth with the manufacturer to get the dice bag just right. I'll be sure to update with photos as soon as everything looks 100% perfect. 

I also received all of the print templates, so next month will be all about getting the final files ready for the printer. That also means an updated PDF and all the digital extras and stretch goals will be available in the second half of January. 

After a small Chinese New Year delay there will be lots more samples to approve. Then on to getting everything printed up and shipped! Right now the books and box sets are estimated to arrive to me sometime in June, so I will probably be mailing all the physical rewards out in July. Of course that could change in either direction, so stay tuned!

Dragon Town PDFs are on the way!

IMPORTANT!

Digital rewards are being sent out via Backerkit!

In the next day or two, you will receive an email from Backerkit asking you to fill out a survey. Just click the link and follow a couple of steps. The Dragon Town and the Darkness Below PDF and the PDFs for any add-ons you backed will be waiting for you at the end. 

A few more important things to know:

• The link to the survey is also your Pledge Manager. Switch rewards, add or subtract add-ons, and update your address in Backerkit. 
• Shipping is going to be charged later. You will get another email closer to fulfillment (May/June 2025) with the amount you will be charged and a reminder to update your address. 
• More digital rewards are coming! Magic Item cards, Stretch Goal Postcards, and the digital version of the GM Screen will be sent out early next year. The Shadowdark adaptation is underway but will take a bit to complete, so that will come in springtime next year. 

Once you dig into the PDF please let me know if you spot any errors. The best way is to use this form: https://forms.gle/1T7WaewGBMjitGFm6. It would be a HUGE HELP!
